Holly Forbes

Holly is originally from Trinidad and Tobago but moved to Canada at the age of 11, and later emigrated to the United States. She has always had a passion for art, but in high school, she became interested in nutrition and its relation to disease. Thus, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics at Oakwood University and is currently completing her Dietetic Internship with Oakwood. Holly aspires to become a Registered Dietitian who specializes in health, wellness, and integrative medicine.  In her free time, Holly enjoys painting, graphic designing, crocheting, scrapbooking, and spending time with her friends. 

Antonia Matthew, RDN

Antonia Matthew is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist from Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands. She completed her Bsc. in Dietetics and Dietetic Internship with Oakwood University in 2016 and 2017 respectively. She has always been passionate about public health and wellness and is a firm believer that factual nutrition information should be available to all.

Aunamesha Henley, DrPH, MPH

Dr. Aunamesha Henley is a native of Waterloo, Iowa. Dr. Henley is serving as an Assistant Professor and Program Director at Howard University in the Department of Health Science and Management. She is a graduate of Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California, receiving a Doctor of Public Health in Health Education and Nutrition. Her work is centered on developing culturally sensitive research questions regarding lifestyle behaviors for minorities. She received a Master’s in Public Health focusing on Community Health from George Mason University and a Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Science from Howard University. She was a Gates Millennium Scholar recipient from 2005-2015. Dr. Henley actively volunteers with the Mary Center and serves as faculty adviser for International Circle K.

Ashli Gordon

Ashli is a proud native of Mandeville, Jamaica who shared her developmental years with the Bahamian islands. She is a 2017 graduate of Oakwood University, having earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Dietetics and most recently completed Oakwood University’s Dietetic Internship Program. Ashli’s love affair with both the culinary arts and the sciences began at a very early age and continues to flourish with time. She is also a lover of the written and spoken word. Her aim is to make a mark in the areas of food science research and public health.

Alesha Johnson

Alesha hails from the beautiful island of Bermuda. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and has completed her Dietetic Internship with Oakwood University. She lives by the mantra of Hippocrates ” Let thy food be thy medicine.” She has a passion for people and enjoys sharing her nutrition knowledge with others.
