Loosing Weight

The first way you can help lower your chances of developing type 2 diabetes is to lose weight. There is a possibility to reduce your chances if you lose 5-7% of your current body weight and more importantly continuing to keep that weight off.  You may be thinking that sounds like a lot but it’s important that you set a realistic weight loss goal for yourself and keep track of your progress. If you weigh 200 pounds, that’s a 10-pound weight loss for you to see a lesser risk of progressed diabetes.  You don’t have to do it alone, get some close friends or family members and do it together. Support each other through this journey.
